They entered another to open the case.
They opened the case to pull out a pen.
They pulled out the pen to set the needle.
They set the needle to prick their finger.
They pricked their finger to draw their blood.
They drew their blood to test it.
They tested it so they could eat.
They ate so they could live.
They pressed the number on the calculator to find the units.
They found the units to fill the syringe.
They fill the syringe to take the shot.
They take the shot to inject the insulin.
They inject the insulin so they could eat.
They ate so they could live.
They do these things.
They did these things to live.
They did these things only because,
That's the duty of The Diabetic.
This is a poem about the basic duties of a Type 1 Diabetic like my brother. They suffer a bunch and live out the rest of their lives with this chronic disease.
